# Min Height

### How to Adjust Min Height in AppSections

The "Min Height" setting in AppSections allows you to define a minimum height that an element (media blocks, groups, or sections) must have. This setting provides flexibility in ensuring that elements maintain a consistent height, enhancing the overall visual appeal and consistency with your brand style. Here is how you can adjust the min height:

### **Min Height**

**Purpose:** This setting allows you to define a minimum height for an element, with different behaviors for sections, groups, and blocks. **Usage:** Use the setting to set the desired minimum height for the element.

### Min Height Behaviors

1. **Sections/Groups:**
   * If the content inside the section/group is smaller than the min height, the min height will be applied.
   * If the content is larger than the min height, the section/group will expand to fit the content.
   * When Full Height is selected, Full Height will be applied unless it is smaller than the min height.
2. **Blocks:**
   * The min height will be applied unless Full Height is selected.
   * When Full Height is selected, Full Height will be applied unless it is smaller than the min height.

### Steps to Adjust Min Height

1. **Select the Block/Group/Section:**
   * Open your Shopify theme editor.
   * Navigate to the specific block, group, or section where you want to apply the min height setting.
2. **Locate the Min Height Setting:**
   * In the settings for the block, group, or section, find the **Min Height** option.
3. **Set the Min Height:**
   * Enter the desired min height value (e.g., in pixels or percentage).
   * For **Sections/Groups:** The min height will be the minimum height of the element. If Full Height is selected, it will apply unless smaller than the min height.
   * For **Blocks:** The min height will be the minimum height of the element. If Full Height is selected, it will apply unless smaller than the min height.

### Ensuring the Right Min Height Application

1. **Preview Changes:**
   * After setting the min height, preview your store to see how the changes look.
   * Check the block, group, or section to ensure the min height setting is applied correctly and enhances the layout.
2. **Check Consistency:**
   * Ensure that the min height setting aligns with your brand’s aesthetic and provides a cohesive look across both desktop and mobile devices.
3. **Test Across Devices:**
   * Verify the min height setting on different devices to ensure it looks good and maintains functionality on all screen sizes.

### Summary

By using the "Min Height" setting in AppSections, you can ensure that your blocks, groups, and sections maintain a consistent minimum height in your Shopify store. This flexibility allows you to enhance the visual appeal and alignment of your layout, ensuring a dynamic and engaging user experience across all devices.
